Nancy & Anthony's engagement didn’t take place, it turned into an unexpected life change when Nancy was diagnosed with epilepsy whilst pregnant with twins. Living in isolation with new born twins had its struggles. Unfortunately, lockdown caused an avalanche of her past, “back to square one”.
Nancy lost the free social life she was once accustomed to. Exercise became a major part of her daily routine hence her wardrobe was full of sportswear.
“Thankfully, I didn’t lose my passion & talent with art. I loved drawing, photography, applying makeup, manicures, pedicures, hairstyling and still do. Fortunately, the upcoming wedding of my best friend’s daughter was to give me the joy of demonstrating my true ability. My only challenge was to find a formal dress”.
"Weeks prior to the wedding I had been looking for something comfortable & light in weight to wear. Checking online was a waste of time. I’m not a fan of shopping so my insistent fiancé took me to Myer Chadstone where I noticed a feather detailed neck lined dress, it’s length and plain colour drew me straight to the fitting rooms. My fiancé didn’t have to say anything because his reaction said it all. My search was over”.
In addition to its elegance the Alessandra Black Feather Trim Gown is designed with front angled mini pleats which complimented Nancys shape. Her crystal drop earrings, chocker and bracelet along with glittered heels completed her stunning outfit.
“Exactly what I was looking for, its length has a flowing light feel to it, it’s not a tight hugging fit or heavy as it appears to be. Just right for a 52-year-old wedding guest who loves dancing”.
The garden wedding was held at The Refectory, Werribee Park Mansion, west of Melbourne. It was a fresh April afternoon with sunrays shining through scattered clouds. The Park is captivating with its well-manicured rose gardens, and mesmerizing with its glamorous historic charm.
The unique ambience and beautiful green natural backdrop along with birds hovering above in song gave the ceremony a warm sense, and provided an exceptional experience for all. The bride stole the show as she walked down the aisle, hand in hand with both her mother and father. Her handsome husband-to-be stood beside the glamorous floral archway, that was created by the mother of the bride, as he admired his wife-to-be approaching him. Once announced, husband and wife, all guests were served drinks in the gardens prior to entering the immaculately set up ballroom. All was on schedule thanks to the talented Master of Ceremony who did an outstanding job, along with the fine dining and dancing which went on to the late hours of the evening.
