In the serene Adelaide Hills suburb, Al Ru Farm stood as the canvas for the union of Teagan and Matt. Bathed in the afternoon light, Teagan and Matt’s vows unfolded amidst the enchanting White Wedding Garden. While the reception was held in at The Barn, which was adorned with chandeliers and gleaming mirrors, serving as the perfect grand stage. Al Ru Farm ticked all of Teagan’s boxes for a dream venue, with its lush green gardens, tranquil lily pond, and its captivating embrace of it’s barn which served as an intimate sanctuary to host their 80 guests for a seated dinner. All of this was only a mere 15 minutes from Teagan’s home.
Initially, Teagan was eager to embrace a rustic colour palette, she was wanting to combine burgundy and gold to harmonise the autumnal hues of her chosen venue. For her wedding dress, Teagan fell in love with a wedding gown that was woven with intricate lace details and had a sparkle throughout it, and she loved how comfortable the dress was.
Teagan walked through Myer in search for a particular colour of burgundy that her heart was set on, to match her colour palette. She found the Montique section and the Nadine Ruby Gown was the dress which caught her eye. Teagan had her maid of honour with her at the time so she had her try on this style and when she did, she knew she found the perfect dresses for her bridesmaids. Unfortunately, the size that she needed was not available in the ruby colour, but the Montique sales assistant was able to offer a smaller size in a different colour just to see how it fit.
Teagan ended up purchasing four of the sky blue gowns as she found them “so stunning and elegant!” Due to this discovery of another colour, Teagan’s wedding palette shifted. Inspired by sky blue hues, she ending up adding touches of blue to her wedding day, especially throughout the bouquets which were put together by herself. This shade also perfectly paired with the dusty pink undertones of her chosen wedding dress.
The Nadine Sky Blue Gown was the perfect dress for Teagan’s bridesmaids. “The dresses fit all the girls beautifully no matter their body shape or height and the little train at the bottom of them added a little extra fancy factor. I didn’t need to go heavy on the jewellery with the bridesmaids as the dresses did the talking.”
