Real Life, Real Stories: Jas & Josh

Jas and Josh’s wedding day featured garden scenes, hand crafted details and pastel hues. In the late afternoon, Jas and Josh were married in the beautiful gardens of Sheldon Reception in Victoria. Their ceremony featured a candlelit wedding aisle and a stunning floral filled arrangement. Jas’s bridesmaids held floral bouquets and wore stunning sage hued bridesmaid dresses. The bouquets were handmade with artificial flowers which were collected locally, while Jas’s own bridal bouquet was made for her with pastel hued roses and ivory toned florals. After their wedding ceremony the couple took their wedding photos amongst the lush green surroundings of the Williamstown Botanical Gardens.

Jas and Josh’s wedding reception then took place back at the location of their ceremony at 6pm. Their reception featured shades of pink and sage green, which perfectly matched the garden setting of their wedding ceremony. Their sage green wedding welcome sign was filled with florals and their seating arrangement chart was decorated in the pearls from Jas's mum's own wedding veil. The signs were handmade by Jas and her mum while the wedding cake was made by the groom’s mum. Their cake also featured their signature sage green colour palette and featured both of their names in gold on top.

In addition to the sage green and pink colour palette, Jas’s wedding also featured something blue. Jas’s mum, Michelle wore our Peta Sapphire Gown on their wedding day. Michelle was eager to wear something meaningful on the day of her daughter’s wedding, and while brainstorming she though that a blue dress would be the perfect option, so that she could be her daughter’s something blue. Michelle found her mother of the bride dress at the Montique store in Myer Melbourne. She tried on about 10 different dresses but she went back to the first one she tried on, which was the sapphire gown. Upon trying on the Peta Gown, Michelle knew straight away that it would be the perfect dress for the day. She told us that “it that was captivating to the eye and it was something I felt special in and was happy to walk my daughter down the aisle in.”

In addition, the Jas’s something blue, she also featured something old at her wedding. The something old was also something very special and sentimental. Jas’s wedding earrings and bracelet were crafted from the beading of her mum’s wedding dress which here mum had worn 33 years prior. A perfect touch to the day and the perfect way to partake in this wedding day tradition.
